Explains How to Turn OFF Sony SRS XB13 Speaker here. Now most speakers including this one, have a Power button that they prominently positions on the unit, making it easy to find. Indeed, the XB13 is no exception to this pattern. We find its Power button near the bottom in the button panel.
There’s also a status lamp, just to the left of the Power button. This glows as long as the XB13 is ON. But it goes dark when you turn off the XB13.

And when you turn off the XB13, this lamp goes OFF, as we see next.
How to Turn OFF Sony SRS XB13 Speaker: Step by Step
To power down this speaker, press the Power button. Then release after a quarter second or so. Also, you needn’t hold it for long. The unit appears to read this button often. So it shuts itself down pretty quickly when it reads a press.
When the XB13 goes OFF, all lamps on the unit stop glowing, except for possibly the orange CHARGE lamp. This light continues glowing when charging, no matter whether the XB13 itself is ON or OFF. Note that the CHARGE lamp glowing does not indicate power status. But it will stop glowing when the battery reaches full charge or you disconnect the charger from the XB13.
Moreover, this XB13 makes no sound when it powers down.
Now pressing the Power button may not always turn OFF the XB13. If that happens, then you can try resetting it by following our Sony SRS XB13 Speaker Reset Instructions.
Finally if that doesn’t work, you can disconnect from your charger, and let it run dead. Then it will certainly shut down. At that point, and hopefully, when you recharge it, the Power button will once again work correctly. But if not, the XB13 may be defective, and so you might just have to replace it.
