How to Reset Sony SRS XB13: Step by Step
1. Power UP the XB13
Press the Power button for a half-second or so and then release it.
E.g. Find the Power button as we show in the next picture.
Then, the status light comes on, as shown next.
The XB13 may make a ding-dong tone sound when it powers up, should it pair to a nearby device. Or it may make no sound whatsoever if it does not. Yet whether it connects or not, this reset to default state routine works the same, as follows.
2. Press and Hold the Play / Pause and Volume UP Buttons At the Same Time
Find these buttons as we show next. Both are near the bottom of the speaker, as called out in the next picture.
The XB13 then enters Reset.
After a little pause, the XB13 powers OFF, and the status lamp goes dark, as shown next. Note that on the SRS XB13, there is no power-down sound.
3. Check that Reset Did Indeed Happen on your Sony SRS XB13
Next, power on the unit again, as we detail in step 1.
Note that after a Reset, the XB13 comes up in pairing / discovery mode. The Power lamp blinks blue rapidly to telegraph this. This is a prompt that you may then look for the XB13 on a nearby BT device, and pair to it if you so desire.

After a Reset, the XB13 no longer auto connects with any prior paired Bluetooth device. Thus, to restore automatic pairing, you manually pair it with a device.
