An adequate Sony SRS XB13 charger type, is a USB wall or auto charger adapter that delivers enough current to fully recharge this speaker in the least amount of time (around 4.5 hours). So be sure to use a charger that can deliver enough of the goods.

Also, this Bluetooth speaker has a USB-C charging port on the side. So if you opt to buy one of the charger options below, then be sure to also get the right cable. You’ll use this to connect the XB 13 to your charger of choice. Details follow.

Plus, the maximum current this speaker may draw is 500 milliamps for the shortest charging times. So, either use a USB-C to USB-C cord, or use a USB-A to USB-C cable if you go with one of the older USB 2.0 chargers below.

Sony SRS XB13 Charger Type: Which Works Well ?

We successfully charge the XB13 with the AC adapters below. Note that some of them feature a USB A type female jack. So, you can use one of these to connect your speaker if you wish to use the micro USB to USB-A cord that comes with this speaker. Or, if your charger only has a USB-C output port, then you’ll need a USB-C to micro USB cable, which Sony does not include.

At less than twelve dollars, this dual port AC USB wall adapter, with its folding plug prongs, is small enough to fit in any mobile device accessory travel kit. It’s also terrific when you take this Sony speaker on vacation. Why? Because this adapter has a blue night light. This makes finding your way around dark and unfamiliar bedrooms less risky.

4. JBL Charger as a Workable Sony SRS XB13 Charger Type

Finally, some Sony speakers you can charge with this JBL power adapter, including the XB13. Thus in spite of being another brand of charger, this adapter still recharges this unit very well.
